How to install wordpress theme

Wordpress offers great variety of themes in both premium and free versions. Wordpress custom theme installation is very easy as webmaster can change the look and feel of their website by changing the theme that is best suited to his niche. You can install wordpress theme directly from your dashboard under appearance tab. It will let you to activate pre uploaded wordpress themes or you can upload your custom wordpress theme that you have buy or downloaded free from website. File transfer protocol (FTP) can also be used to upload custom wordpress theme but it is not a recommended method for beginners as it requires more technical knowledge. Install (activate) wordpress theme from online wordpress theme directory:

In case, you want to install wordpress theme from online wordpress theme directory then kindly follow these steps.

Login to wordpress dashboard and click appearance >> themes.

By clicking themes you will be directed to  your installed theme that you can customize. But we want to install a new custom plugin so, click on install theme.

Now you have different options to install wordpress theme. Quick links of featured, newest and recently updated are pre-organized by wordpress theme directory or you can search your desired plugin.

For example we want to install custom community wordpress theme. Write custom community in search box and click search. It is not necessary that you get the same as you typed because you can only install wordpress themes that are in wordpress theme directory. Otherwise you can download your desired theme and upload it.
